Hi, at the moment, there are more particles the longer the note is held down. As far as I can tell, this is the only factor for this effect- so a long held chord makes the most spectacular visual effect with these particles. However, I'm finding that for the majority of the time, musically it's the short sharp notes that need to create the strongest visual effect, not the long held notes. Could you create a choice to reverse the current settings so that you get more particles the shorter the note? Also, it would be really amazing (and incredibly logical) if there was a choice to have more particles with loud notes, and less particles with more quiet notes.

No I know after effects is expensive see music is great as its free or very cheap for subscription. I'm not slating at all I love this app. Maybe in the future you could add a feature to allow importing of different particles. I was thinking of subscribing to unity pro to create my own particles but it's pointless unless I can implement them in see music. also another great feature would be to change colours at different parts of the piece although there is a way around that ATM. I render 3 videos and edit them together for the colour change. Keep up the good work man!
wow that was quick. is there anyway i can download the old version that supports it? or is there anyway to enhance the quality of the particles externally as I have a powerful computer the thumbnail of the video on the front of your website has really high quality amazing particles i want to recreate them as best I can!
how do you activate gpu particles!!!
Oh wait, what's the difference between CPU and GPU in relation to particles? Sorry, don't know this stuff.
Thanks but I'm not sure that really answered my last question- my question was would it be possible to have the functionality requested above with CPU rendering?
If the app freezes when you turn on GPU particles, then the hardware isn’t currently compatible with that feature.
I believe Unity is working on improving the compatibility of that feature, so there is a good chance it may be possible in the near future.
I did manage to get it working with CPU on my phone, but not with GPU. I doubt GPU would work on my laptop. Is there any way to have this functionality available for CPU as well please? I'm willing to sit through as much rendering time as is necessary!
Ah, I've been using CPU- I'll try with GPU but I stayed away from this option because I wasn't sure if it would crash my phone- or cause problems on a laptop without a good graphics card.
Actually, those changes have already been implemented for GPU Particles, and were very carefully balanced - it's unlikely that further changes will be made to the way they have currently been balanced on musical factors.
Are you using CPU or GPU particles?
