Why did seemusic's price suddenly get increased from 3-4$ for a single month to $10 for a single month? This is a bit expensive.. Any clear reasons as to why the price got raised??

Thanks for the advice - I’m updating the site soon.
You can certainly buy 1 month or 3 months at a time only when you need it.

Can you purchase on a 'as needed' basis?
Meaning, if I have the need to create a video then I purchase it for that month, using it as much as I want/need.
I may go another 1 or 2 months where I am just busy on other items and don't have time to use it.
Those months would be hard to justify spending 10 or 20 dollars for something that I don't use.
But then when I get back to it purchase another 1 or 3 month package?
As a fulltime software developer I really can appreciate the amount of time, effort and expense on your part and certainly think 10.00 for a months use of this software is more than worth it.
Just one bit of feedback, that almost stopped me from even testing the trial version of the software is that the pricing is nowhere on the site. Personally (and take or leave this) I think up front pricing before having to install the software would help more than hurt you.
Best regards,

An email was sent to all subscribed users last week - I will copy it here as well.
Dear SeeMusic Users,
I would like to personally thank you for supporting SeeMusic for the last two years. Your feature suggestions and bug reports have helped SeeMusic evolve into a powerful professional tool.
Exciting recent additions to the app include 3D Notes, Particle Rays, and a MIDI Editor. Renders in SeeMusic are faster than ever thanks to recent optimizations. Customized Particle Turbulence and Particle Smoke let you create unique visualizations for amazing videos.
On April 1, the subscription price in SeeMusic increased to $10 a month.
I had previously emailed about the price increase on March 1, but wanted to clear up any confusion about the reasons for the change.
$10 a month is what SeeMusic's competitor app charges. $10 a month is the base market rate for niche software used by content creators at a high level. Many users of the app have suggested that I change the price to $10 a month since the app launch.
I want to avoid making multiple increases to the price. Instead, I chose an amount that would be sustainable for the long term, so that I don't have to increase the price again.
The app will remain free to use with the watermark.
If you are subscribed to a renewing MacOS subscription, Apple will send you an opt-in email before your next billing date. If you do not opt in to the higher price, your subscription will automatically be canceled when it expires. You will not be billed the higher price.
If something is negatively impacting your use of SeeMusic, please post on the Support Forum, and I’ll do my best to improve it as soon as possible.I understand that this price increase brings greater responsibility for me to make sure that SeeMusic meets a high professional standard.
The price increase will ensure that SeeMusic remains more powerful, supported, and feature rich than ever before. There are no further price increases planned, and I hope this will be a sustainable price for the app for years to come.
If you have any feedback about the price change, please reach out to me directly at visualmusicdesign@gmail.com
I deeply appreciate your support of SeeMusic, and I hope you’ll stay with the app through this change.
