I have been using for over a year now and very happy with the app! Work great for making these special piano videos.
Since some time I have a new computer and download 4.9.6 of Seemusic. While rendering it doesn't include the background video I added. It shows everything else, except for the background mp4. I rendered as H.264 video codec. Later I tried as HEVC and downloaded the HEVC extension from Windows. Then it rendered once with the background, but now for another version of my video it leaves out the background again.
Any tips on how to fix this issue? While editing the video it shows the background perfectly. Just while rendering and in the rendered video there is no background. But everything else is there (hands, particles, midi).
Thank you for the information and for sending the files.
With what you've sent, I imagine I will be able to find a fix.
I'm dealing with a different urgent and complex issue with the app this week that has to be dealt with immediately.
I will try to look at this as soon as I can - sorry for the delay.
Thank you for your patience, and thank you for using SeeMusic
Thanks for your quick response!! I have kept testing all day yesterday and found a way to make it work, but there is other issues with this work around (I put some screenshots from this work around).
In the normal way the rendering starts and doesn't show the background video. Not while rendering, not in the rendered video. However if I start rendering the video from 1 second into the video, it suddenly shows the background while rendering and in the end result! What happened next was that the background video seemed to speed up. So I have a background video which lasts about 2 minutes, while being rendered it was already finished around 1.40 minutes. So I had 20 seconds of video without a background.
To solve this I made a background video of 2.48 minutes, to cover the piano video which is 2:04 minutes long. I will e-mail the video files and the midi.
In the end I have the video, but had to make 15 takes on the background video to get the proper length. There is a difference in fps between the hands video (25 fps) and the background video (30 fps). But I do think I had that also with older video's and they always rendered good together. In Seemusic I render on 30 fps.
As to answer your questions:
It occurs with different background video files. I tried a bunch and each reacts the same while rendering.
and 3: I will sent the midi and video files. The audio is added later in DaVinci Resolve, so it's not included in the rendering process for Seemusic.
Any help is much appreciated.
I'm not sure what's going wrong - that sounds very strange.
1. Does the issue occur with many different background video files, or just one specific background video file?
2. Can you upload a section of the render that has the issue with the background not showing?
3. I think I'll need you to send me the MIDI, Audio, and Video files you are using for your render. I can't promise I can test the files this week as there's an urgent issue with the app I need to fix first.
