I am importing my video and the corresponding MIDI and assigning them to the same file, but after video editing and color adjustments, I am unable to hear the sound of the MIDI when the video plays. When I turn off the MIDI sound and turn on video sound instead, I am able to hear the audio from the original video. I want to turn off this video's audio and make the MIDI audio sync with my video and play as the original audio is distorted. I am sure I have imported the MIDI file correctly and multiple times as well. Please help me resolve this issue! My device is an HP Windows 10 Laptop and this is the first time I am using See Music v4.6 for a video render.

When you only import the MIDI file, can you hear the MIDI sound?
Please upload the MIDI file with this issue to this post, or email to visualmusicdesign@gmail.com
I tried it with all the effects off - only keyboard, notes and background were on - the issue still persists. I am unable to listen to the MIDI audio when I turn off the video sound :( The only good thing was the lag reduced.
I even deleted the video and MIDI and reloaded both afresh and kept the effects off from the start itself anticipating the lag. Still I cannot hear the MIDI sound, only the video sound can be heard :(
Unfortunately I'm not able to replicate the exact issue with the MIDI sound being off after you turn the Video sound off.
Please try disabling the effects as I suggested in the previous comment to see if it helps
After you make the sound changes, you can try reloading the piece. Switch to a different piece and then back to this piece in Piece Settings (top left corner of the main screen)
This issue could be caused by the extreme lag.
With your hardware, I would recommend turning off the most intensive effects while you are editing, then enabling them again one at a time to work with each effect, and then enabling them all when you render.
Open Effect Settings - third button from top right.
Disable:
- Particles
- Saber
- Texture
- Glow
Does that help with the MIDI sound issue at all?
Can you upload or send a link to a video screen capture clearly demonstrating the issue, and showing the Media Settings window where you show how you are turning the MIDI and Video sound on / off?
Thank you
