Hello, you should now be able to import .rtx files in Version 3.8 by tapping the file you want to import in your File Manager. Please upgrade when you have a Chance and let me know if it works?
Thank you

Please email the file you are trying to import to visualmusicdesign@gmail.com.
If the file has an .rtx extension, then maybe it is not a MIDI file? If it is a MIDI file, then renaming the file to have a .mid extension should make it work in the app.
I don't know what a .rtx file is, and it would not be reasonable to expect SeeMusic to handle that extension.

Version 3.7.3 should now be up on Google Play.
The "Open Files App" button has been replaced with an "Import Files" button, that will let you directly choose a file from the File Manager. This should work much better?
Please let me know if it works now for you, when you have a chance to update.
Thank you!

It looks like someone has finally released a Native File Picker for Unity Android.
- I'll look into adding it today, and hopefully will have an update that lets you pick files from the app by the end of the day, if all goes well.
(The old way of importing from the File Manager really should work, too, though I understand it doesn't seem to be from your phone).

I just tested again on Android - the "Open Files App" button does not work on one of my testing phones.
However, I am still able to successfully import MIDIs from the File Manager. Sometimes the first attempt causes the app to fully restart. In this case, I return to the File Manager, try the import again, and it works perfectly on the second attempt without doing a full reopen of the app.

Ok - I understand that opening the Files app button isn’t working on this phone.
Could you please record a video screen capture of trying to import the files from outside the app? Thank you.
Also, please upload the MIDI file you are trying to import to this post if possible. Clicking the + button in this forum should let you add a file.

1. I think the most helpful thing at this point would be if you could record a video screen capture of exactly what you are trying for the import process?
2. Also, what exactly is the file you are trying to import? If you are trying to import a MIDI, please upload the MIDI file to this post, thank you.
3. If you are trying to import a MIDI, have you tried importing an audio file? Does importing any kind of file work?

The idea would not be to open SeeMusic - but instead to open the Files app on your phone, and select the MIDI file you want to import to the app. Is that what you’re doing? Are you using Version 3.7.1?

For some reason when i go to my file manager, while pressing SeeMusic, it just brings me to the app and the sample piece is only played.

All that's going to do is open the built-in Files app on your phone.
Can you instead just search for the Files app on your phone and open it that way? Then, select the file you want to import, and select "Open with SeeMusic" (or "Copy to SeeMusic")
