It takes around .5 seconds for the note to be registered in the application. I have a Lenovo Legion y530. Intel Core i7-8750H 2.20 GHz up to 4.1 GHz. Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. Secondary graphics card is "Intel UHD Graphics 630". 8gb of ram. My piano is a Yamaha P-45.

Sorry - I forgot that MIDIJack is already the only framework available on Windows...
The issue here could be a variety of things, either latency from the keyboard, or latency in the computer's built-in MIDI system. In any case, since performance doesn't seem to be the issue, unfortunately there aren't any other solutions I can suggest at this time.
One thing to do would be to try connecting a different MIDI keyboard when possible, to figure out if the issue is the keyboard or the computer.
Sorry I can't be of more help right now!
This issue would likely either be related to your computer's performance, or the way the keyboard is connected to the computer.
Some solutions to try:
- Try switching the MIDI Input framework to "MIDIJack"
- Try disabling effects in the app to increase performance
- Disable Saber
- Disable Texture
- Disable Particles
- If the keyboard is connected via bluetooth, try connecting it with USB
