Issues with integrating with OBS

I love this app and have happily paid for a subscription. I realize this may be specific to my case but I am hoping someone here has insight and/or is using a similar setup.

I'm using SeeMusic 4.6 on my MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) Big Sur 11.6, 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9, 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, graphics card is AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4 GB. I'm using vanilla OBS 27.1.3 (latest or almost latest).

The app runs smoothly (I haven't really changed any settings) but when I try to use Window Capture the source that is shown on the stream lags behind the app significantly. This is improved if I make the app window smaller (but is a hassle to setup since the app doesn't retain its window size between sessions - when I run SeeMusic on another day I need to resize it and resize the stream's source as well. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Should I capture the app differently? Thanks and appreciate any help.

There wouldn't be anything I could do about lag in the visuals - that would just be performance related - you might need to turn off some effects.

However, if the issue is with audio visual sync - using the Live MIDI Delay setting might help you in MIDI Settings.

Thanks for your reply. I don't see any lag in the app itself, only in the window capture. Would that still point to a performance issue?

@Frankie Simon It could be a performance issue with OBS.

Alternately there may be some OBS settings you need to change… that would not be something I can help with.

@visualmusicdesign I think I may have resolved this by using another way of capturing. NDI tools (specifically something called "Scan Converter" is read by OBS (with a plugin) and doesn't seem to have a lag. Will "battle-test" it on a stream in the future.
