I get a message saying that It cannot render on the device
It doesnt render and i the settings dialog box doesnt show the same settings as in the help poppup
please advise?

I would recommend using the free version, Version 1.2, instead, which will align with the settings screenshot provided in the app.
Where is the "message" appearing? Is it in SeeMusic or coming from MagicYUV?
There is a limited amount I can assist with this particular issue - MagicYUV is a third party plugin that SeeMusic supports, but I'm not responsible nor fully knowledgable about issues MagicYUV might have.
Lagarith is another option you can explore if you need Transparent renders on Windows.
