It's nice to see that the new version is working in Windows 7, and is now rendering in both basic and the other option. However, there is no glow at all in the rendered result- I tried it with the older version on my Android phone and it's exactly the same, no glow. This looks very disappointing. The preview has a very nice glow. I spent a long time earlier trying to get my nvidia graphics card on my laptop working with this software (spent hours trying to get the graphics card working in Windows 10 before then realising the latest version doesn't need Windows 10, that would have been nice to know first), but although the software runs okay without crashing on GPU, there are no visual particles. Is the glow only possible with GPU? Is there any way I can get this glow working please without GPU? If it's possible, let me know if I should upload my files, etc for troubleshooting... Bob

So are you saying that the glow feature definitely shouldn't make the keyboard glow? If it does, please can you make it possible to choose for it to only make the notes glow? I'll post some examples later this evening
There are limits to what can currently be achieved with glow in the current version of the Unity framework. In testing, the current glow settings seem to be working great on multiple devices. I'm sorry it's not meeting expectations for you.
It would be easier to understand exactly what's going wrong for you if you could please provide screenshots and / or video captures demonstrating your issue.
Also, I'm pretty sure that in the settings for note texture, color brightness also resulted in a glow effect around the note. Perhaps this was a mistake because now this literally just results in changing only the note brightness. But perhaps this dialogue box would be a good place to put an option for glow around the notes? This way, it would be easy to fulfil one of the other feature requests which would be to have black notes surrounded by a glow- which I think could look great
About 24 hours before you posted here, I had just noticed after finishing a large batch of editing that I had missed the opportunity to try your update. I tried just now with a new video, but I'm afraid the effect is not useful at all if the whole keyboard glows which wasn't the effect in preview before. Now even with subtle settings, the keyboard & hands look like how the UFOs & aliens look in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. If you could amend it so the glow effect just works on the notes, that would be fantastic please.
Hello, Version 2.7 is now available for all platforms, and should fix the issue you were experiencing with the glow not rendering properly.
I hope it will work better for you now
I will take a look at it as soon as I can - Unfortunately I have some personal circumstances that make it impossible to be the computer for parts of this week. Thanks for understanding.
With the glow turned up to maximum, there is still absolutely no glow around the notes, tested both on the laptop and Android phone, and on different quality settings. I would really appreciate if you can help me get this glow working in any way even by turning up the strength so there is something to show for all this please! It was right there in the render preview, I don't understand why it wasn't in the final render.
Hi bob,
Thanks for letting me know about the issue of the Glow not being as strong in the render as in the original video.
This is a known issue, and something I'm looking into. There isn't a clear solution at this time, so I can't tell you exactly when it will be fixed.
The best solution in the meantime would be to increase the Glow so that it looks more powerful than it should be in the preview - then it should show up at the level you want in the render.
I'm sorry that your experience with the app is frustrating - if you'd prefer to explore using After Effects instead, I'm always happy to refund and cancel your subscription.
Thanks for using SeeMusic!
I thought I'd fixed it by trying Windows 10 as a last resort- despite not checking 'preview render', it showed me each frame as it rendered which looked absolutely perfect, lovely glow, etc. (Using latest version, advanced- not basic renderer) So incredibly disappointed to say the least when looking at the final video file which has absolutely no glow whatsoever. 😠
One more question for now- the lighting effect looks absolutely terrible in the version rendered from my phone. I'd like to find out the settings I was using in Windows- where do I find the stored settings for: Particles, Lights, Saber and Glow directly from a save file, as none of those settings seem to be in 'New Save File.seemusic'? (I can't just see them in the software as it crashes every single time now)
Yesterday when I setup and started using the new version on Windows 7, I found that it needed a couple of goes to start each time as it would usually crash the first time. Today it's pretty much refusing to run at all, and actually gives me regular messages that my integrated graphics has crashed and restarted. I've never seen this message before, no other software has ever caused this (I did constantly try rebooting the laptop, but this didn't help- I had issues with nothing else running, and everything unnecessary shut down in task manager). So I had another go at running it on my Android phone, thinking it may just be a problem on my computer. I changed some of the settings as I couldn't find all of them in the text of the save file, but the preview looks very nice with glow, etc, and the rendered output looks terrible. The Android version of SeeMusic is the most recent update. I'm posting the rendered video without the sound: https://youtu.be/SLJqYvxzTFE
I would like to be able to post this soon (with glow) if possible! BTW, when I rendered this yesterday on my Android phone after painstakingly setting up all the right settings, it actually used the settings of one of the supplied demos, and then my newly created 'Bach' project was absolutely nowhere to be seen, I was back fully in one of the demos after the render. So today I had to set this up from scratch again, and try to work out how to make sure it was saved before rendering. Is there a preferred workflow to save the file? In the save music dialogue box., the icons with no tooltips are somewhat of a mystery. BTW, I'm particularly bemused and perplexed that the render runs twice as fast on my old Android phone and the preview runs far faster and more smoothly than it does on my dual-core i5 laptop. I'm really starting to feel regret here that the amount of time I've been sinking into dealing with bugs and issues could have been spent actually working out how to do this in After Effects, etc.

Okay, so here's a screenshot from my preview:
and here's a screenshot from the same spot in the final render- it looks terrible
here's a link to the video of the final render: https://youtu.be/ssrezhmJcp0
I tried to upload the save file but there was an error- so I'll paste the contents into the next comment Platform & Device: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, Intel i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz, 4GB RAM
The glow works on both CPU and GPU. As you said, there are no particle when change from CPU to GPU, that is true, I have same problem like that.
And about your problem "No glow when render finish", can you upload the rendered file? Because that seems like to be unusual. I will check it out and give you advice. Also you can wait from official support forum of SeeMusic, I'm not him!!!
