Hi there. I've connected my piano (a Yamaha CVP-103) with MIDI-->USB cable on my Microsoft Surface Pro and See Music says it's connected ("USB Midi" in Midi Input) but notes that are pressed on my piano are not showing up or sounding at all in the See Music App. Any idea why this might be? I saw from an earlier post that I may need to download an earlier app version but the link to the page of that 2.4.1 version is no longer available.
My piano is older, and doesn't have a USB port at all, so I'm not able to connect with a regular USB cable.. Could that also be a reason?
Thanks
I just plugged in my little Keystation 49 piano with its USB cord and that shows up just fine in the App. So I know that works. But it's only 4 octaves, I just use it to input notes in my writing software.
The Midi-->USB cord is brand new just took it out of the box. I'm worried if it does has something to do with the keyboard itself. It's from 1998 or 1999. I wouldn't know how to explore any further if it does has something to do with the MIDI interface.
Thanks for the swift response.
Hmm... that's strange.
- You definitely want to be using the current version of the app.
- Can you test with a different piece of MIDI software to see if the notes are getting received by the computer at all?
The issue here would almost definitely be the cable or MIDI interface of the keyboard... there likely is not very much I can do to help from my end with this issue...
