That could definitely be the case. Thanks very much for sharing your advice! I'll try to see if there's a fix I can provide, but I'd recommend making sure that other MIDI apps aren't open as a workaround for now.

I had this same problem, apparently happens if other program is using your midi device. For example I had cantabile opened when I started seemusic and had that same error. I think these are the error lines from the log file
