Hi, when I create a video I can get the timing and everything working great, but when I go to render it, the timing is out of sync, as if I had never changed anything.
This occurs on both my Mac and Windows PC

I think we've now fully addressed these issues over email...
Please just make a new clean post if there are still issues to be addressed.
(I'm still looking into the audio recording issue of the sound not being what your line in was sending)

I updated to 10.11 and this is what happened:
This is the rendered version, pretty much what I expected based on how it played in the app. I just emailed you the .mid and .wav files if that helps.

Ok, I just tested the MIDI file you sent thoroughly with the new version of the app, and it renders perfectly every time on my computer...
I've added a lot of fixes to address issues with the audio not rendering correctly in the last few days - unfortunately the App Store has been very slow to review the most recent updates, so not all of them have come through yet. There are fixes relating to audio in the render in both 1.10 and 1.11...
iOS Version 1.11 is currently being reviewed by Apple and should be up in a couple hours. The Mac App Store is stuck at Version 1.9, as Apple is much slower with Mac app reviews. I think the best thing to do would be to check if the issue is fixed on your iPad, when Version 1.11 goes live on the iOS App Store later today, as it could be a few days before the Mac App Store gets their act together and puts the updates up.
On the brighter side, I was able to resolve the crash you had while trying to Record Audio. This was due to the fact that you hadn't given the app permission to use the Microphone. The app now handles this properly, and instead of crashing, the Audio Input has an overlay saying that it needs permission, if it doesn't have it. You can give the app permission to use the Microphone in:
System Preferences - Security and Privacy - Privacy - Microphone
Check the box next to "SeeMusic"

Hello, is there any update on this? I can't seem to get it to work! I even tried downloading the app on my iPad to give it a fresh start, and I am having the same issue.
Everything looks great, but once I get to the render the audio timing is completely off from the notes. At one point the audio just drops out completely! It makes me think I am doing something wrong with the setup.

Got it, that worked. I will email you the log file taken right after the keys glitch happened.

Ok -
- Sorry, the correct Log folder for the App Store version is:
~/Library/Containers/com.VisualMusicDesign.SeeMusicUnity/Data/Library/Logs/Visual Music Design/SeeMusic/Player.log
After you have the issue with the keys, can you upload or email that log?
Will test the MIDI file you sent to see if I can replicate the sync issue.

Yes, I copied your link directly. When I do that it just brings me to my general "Log" folder but not the specific folder for the app.
I tried another render with the normal animation direction. There is audio this time, but the timing of it is off, similar to the initial problems I have been having. I sent you the MIDI file I have been using through email. When I am actually in the app (before I render), the audio and timing is perfect, the audio matches up with the notes in perfect timing. The issue has been with the renders. Thanks for the help

Thank you -
Did you try to find the Logs by copying and pasting that exact address into the GO TO FOLDER option in the GO menu in the Finder?
(The Log folder is hidden, so you're not going to be able to navigate to it in the Finder)
This sounds very strange that there is no audio when you change to a different Animation Direction... truly weird.
- When you revert back to the Down direction, does the audio come back in the render?
- Is there audio playing back in the app when you're not rendering?

I would say the issue with the keys not loading happens about every other time, but usually works as normal if I restart the app. I can't seem to find the Log file based on the address you posted, but I do have a folder in my "Log" folder that has Crash Reports. I don't see a folder specifically for Visual Music Design in my Log folder. But if the crash reports are helpful to you let me know and I can post them.
For the render issue, I tried the render with a backwards animation direction as you stated. When I play the final video, there is no audio at all. Just to be sure, I tried it a second time and made sure I had the audio on and I had the same issue, no audio. I can't seem to attach a MIDI file here so I will email it.

Thanks very much for the detailed and informative video - much appreciated.
1. First off - that issue with the keys not loading properly is extremely strange, and definitely not something I've ever seen before. What percentage of the time would you say that happens?
It would be helpful if, one time after it happens, you can quit the app, then upload the Log file. The Log file on Mac is located at: ~/Library/Logs/Visual Music Design/SeeMusicUnity/Player.log
To easily get to this folder, use the GO menu at the top of the Finder, and select GO TO FOLDER, and copy that address into it.
If you have any issues uploading the file to the website, you can email it to visualmusicdesign@gmail.com
2. For the render timing - I'll look into this. Can you quickly trying rendering the beginning of the video one time with a different Animation Direction selected in Visual Settings (Up, or Horizontal, instead of Down), and check that everything works properly then?
- Could you also attach the MIDI file you're using as well? You can use the Export File button in the Player tab of Settings to export MIDI from the app.

Are you using the most recent version of the app? This issue was fixed in an update.
If you are still having the issue, please upload your render that has the issue, as well as a screen capture of your settings in the app, if possible.

I also have the same issues. Timing works good in preview, but off in finished render. I am using Midi audio. Should I try using audio from video instead?
