Specs: Windows 10, AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 3.9GHz, 16GB RAM, Radeon 5600 XT.
App Version: 5.1.3
Problem: The preview in App runs smoothly, however, the rendered video is choppy. Had no issues in my previous videos prior to updating from 5.0.5 to 5.1.3.
What I have done:
- I uninstalled and reinstalled app, updated graphics card driver, restarted computer. No effect on lag.
- I ran several test renders using different rendering settings - Best/High/Med quality, 30/60 FPS, and Basic/AVPro seemed to have no effect related to lag.
- I ran more test renders using different combinations of particle/light/glow/saber effects. In 100% of the cases, when saber is enabled, regardless of which preset I use, the rendered video will lag. If I render with everything except saber, then the video is smooth. If I render with only saber and no other effect, then the video is choppy.
- I went back to my old projects that had no issue rendering in 5.0.5, and re-rendered them in 5.1.3 without changing any setting. The rendered video is choppy.
Conclusion:
Enabling saber in version 5.1.3 seem to be causing lag issue previously not encountered.
Pls help?
1. It's very strange - I do know that after very heavy use, sometimes the Windows Media Foundation that provides video clip loading and seeking can generally get gummed up, and will reset after a restart.
If you're encountering the issue again, the simplest fix might be attempting a restart?
2. Can you send the video file of your hands you were using for this rendering?
Thank you
So I rendered it a few more times and somehow it is now working with no lag using saber preset 1, at 60FPS, High quality, and Basic rendering framework. Still don't know why it causes lag occasionally. Maybe it didn't like a particular combination of settings
Thanks for the quick response, I couldn't upload to this forum, but I uploaded to Google drive and shared with the listed email
- Could you please upload a short 10 sec clip showing the issue in the render?
If you can't upload, you can send to seemusicapp@gmail.com
- Please make sure you have the settings active that cause the issue - then open the Save window from the left side of the main screen - click "New Save" to create a save of your current settings - click Export, and send the exported save file so that I can test with your settings
