I have just purchased Seemusic to animate a simple melodic exercise. The midi file is about 3 min long (fl studio midi file).
After setting it up in Seemusic, I have tried rendering it twice, and both time it took about 2hours to render and then the animation is only on the first 2 notes ?!??
I have not touched rendering setting it’s pretty much as defaults would be...
Help!?
Note : 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3 with Sierra + very latest seemusic purchased it yesterday.
Here is the midi file (there is only 1 midi file) and I already trashed the animation done after purchase, but I have the first rendering (before purchase with watermark) took 4 hours to render and you can see the animation is only on the fisrt 2 notes but for some reason here it uploads up to 99% so I can't show it to you :(
Great! That's good to hear 😀
Just tested "Basic" Render at 720 and I'm down to 10 minutes yé :) thank you!!!
Ok I will try these, but I also installed seemusic on my more recent iphone and samsung galaxy 3 : so far it's taking a long time on all devices....I will try on a recent lenovo and also follow your indications and let you know.
Thank you for the prompt response :)🙂
Sorry that your experience hasn't been easy so far!
- SeeMusic is processor-intensive. It sounds like you might be using an earlier generation Mac. SeeMusic does work best on current generation hardware. It will work, but longer rendering times would not be unusual in this case. It would take much, much longer to do the same work in Adobe After Effects - you are welcome to try that route if you like.
- On my MacBook Pro 2018, rendering this MIDI with the default settings took 5 minutes. The rendered video is attached as a YouTube link - the video upload isn't working for me either - that is a Wix Forum issue and not something I have control over - sorry!
- I would recommend rendering out only a part of the video if you want to test the render - use the sliders in the Render Settings to limit which part you are rendering to just 10 or 15 seconds.
- I would also recommend trying to use the "Basic" Render Framework option in Render Settings - there is a known issue with audio rendering on MacOS with the AVPro render framework. The result is the same with both frameworks - AVPro is sometimes just faster.
- Also, consider rendering out at 720p Resolution - it will take much less time.
If you need HD or 4K resolution, it will take longer - that is normal.
- Finally, updating your computer to current generation Mac hardware would fix this issue.
