I'm very happy overall with the app and purchased a subscription, but there are several technical issues which make it a little tricky to use.
The most recent one is that it no longer opens on my Mac (Catalina 10.15.4 on a 2016 13 inch MacBook Pro). It gets stuck on the title screen. I tried reinstalling, which worked. However, it then started doing this again and reinstalling/restarting etc will not work.
The buttons on the Mac are not perfectly aligned on the screen, meaning I have to click slightly above where the buttons are visually presented.
I would be grateful for assistance, especially in relation to the first point which is stopping me from working.

Hey guys - this is happening because the app has not been granted Microphone Permission.
The short-term workaround to resolve the crash is to give the app Microphone and/or Camera Permission.
- Go to System Preferences - Security & Privacy - Privacy - Microphone
Make sure that the box next to SeeMusic is checked on.
I'm trying to find a fix to resolve the crash as soon as possible even when permission isn't granted. Thanks for your patience...
Hi, I have similar issue. App keeps crashing when opened. Using Mac OS High Sierra on early 2011 Mac. I checked the privacy settings, it doesn't show the camera and mic settings there. The app works find on my Samsung android note plus 10 but not on Mac book pro early 2011.

I'm having the exact same issue! Title screen appears for a bit, then just crashes. I'm also running on Catalina on my 2012 Macbook Pro. I'll send the logs via email.
Thank said, I agree that the app is amazing! It must be difficult coding it solo, and so I understand the occasional hiccups. Hoping this could be resolved soon. :)
Thanks - I was about to do this, but since the update which was just issued, my app won't load at all now. It now crashes at the title screen.
As soon as I can get back into it, I will get it over to you. I'm sorry someone left a 1 star review! I understand their frustrations but the app is amazing and I know you guys are working to improve it.

You can use Quicktime Player to make a screen recording - just open Quicktime, and select "New Screen Recording..." from the menu.
(Another user seems to have had this issue and left a 1-star review on the App Store because of it, and I can't replicate it on my computers, so I don't understand exactly what's wrong)

Thank you - apologies for posting twice! So the problem again randomly fixed itself and now the program as starting up almost like normal (it does this strange thing where it opens in full screen and then exits full screen but it eventually loads fine). Should I wait for the problem to come back before sharing the log file?

I'm here to help - one forum post is enough to get help - I can see that the startup issue has been posted on several old threads that aren't related to Macs.
1. After experiencing the startup issue, please close the app and send the Log file.
The Log file on Mac is located at: ~/Library/Containers/com.VisualMusicDesign.SeeMusicUnity/Data/Library/Logs/Visual Music Design/SeeMusic/Player.log
To easily get to this folder, use the GO menu at the top of the Finder, and select GO TO FOLDER, and copy that address into it.
If you have any issues uploading the file to the website, you can email it to visualmusicdesign@gmail.com
2. For the button issue, could you please make a video capture of your computer screen while using the app and experiencing the issue? That would make it much easier for me to help.
