My texture has completely changed. This is the opposite of what I want. I want my texture to be the colour of the note that's being played on the keyboard, not the note coming down from the top. Furthermore, there are multiple texture settings (in second photo) that simply are not applying here and I don't know how to alleviate it. Why is this?

Ok - when you say "completely different colour" - I'm not sure that is accurate here - it look like the color in picture 1 is exactly the correct hue, but the brightness is a little high for what you want.
In single color mode, lowering the brightness in Texture Settings allows me to achieve the color that you show in picture 2.
Reinstalling the app would not change anything here.
If changing the brightness doesn't help at all, maybe you could make a detailed video screen capture showing you trying the different modes and attempting to change Brightness in Texture Settings. That might give me a better sense of what's going wrong on your computer.
Hi, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately reducing the blend does change the colour at all. And I've made sure that I have the correct colour setting.
Ok picture 1 depicts my main issue. The colour of the particles in this picture is one colour (which is the colour I want) and the colour of the note is a completely different colour. I have changed the contrast, the opacity and basically everything multiple different ways, still no avail.
Picture 2 depicts what I actually want. The settings that you see in picture 1 are the settings that give you the result of picture 2. Funnily enough 12 colour mode and Track mode are the only two modes that give me what I actually want. As you can see, in the picture I'm in 12 colour mode. This is not ideal however, as I'm a fan of single colour mode and gradient mode...
I've been trying to find a solution for hours and might just end up reinstalling the app haha. Sometimes the classic on and off works like a charm. I hope that makes it more clear
It's difficult for me to understand exactly what the issue is here. The first thing I would try would be to reduce the Blend to 0. That will keep the Texture color its original color. Does that help?
Next, I would make sure you are using the right Color setting in the Color window for your use case.
If you're still having issues, please try to explain with a little more detail and clarity exactly what you're trying to achieve, so that I can help better.
Thank you
For context, this is what its supposed to look like
