Hello,
After upgrade to latest version 2.4.3 the application works very slowly, buggy, freezes.
And the imported video is not shown. The video is not shown at all.
It happens after update Windows and maybe I delete something important in C:\Users\andrn\AppData\LocalLow\Visual Music Design.
How can I delete this application with all the cache and another files. Maybe it will help me to re-download all the application.
I just fix the issue (importing video). 22.06.2020 Windows was updated and after that I saw the problem. Workaround: I return to the previous Windows version, and now this feature is working (OK).
Thank you for this cool application.
Wow - that's very good to know!
This issue would be between Unity's VideoPlayer framework and Windows then - I sincerely hope they fix it soon to resolve this issue.
I'm also planning on replacing the Unity VideoPlayer framework with a third party professional framework - I may need to do that soon if many other users start to experience this issue. I'll try updating my Windows as well to see if I can replicate the issue.
Thanks for following up with the solution that worked for you!
The saber is not appeared at all. All that means video format does not shown. It is strange.
I understand that it is problem in my computer because 2 days ago it worked good and it was available to see the video. I try to investigate this problem (my skills in QA maybe help me :))) Maybe drivers or some video codec need to reinstall.
Do you have any idea why the video doesn’t want to be shown? What can cause this behavior in the computer?
Thank you so much for support.
This is my notebook, it is OK with Windows Explorer - just capture application does't show this moment.
Ok - I'm very confused by what happens in the video screen capture you just sent at 0:09...
You click the Import File button, but why do I then not see a Windows Explorer tab where you choose the file? Is your computer running on 2 monitors, and you are only recording 1?
Could you possibly make a new video screen capture showing:
Reimport the video
Choose "Create New Piece"
Press play, and skip to halfway through the piece
Open Video Settings, and show each of the Video Settings tabs
Could you also possibly upload the Video File to this post?
Thank you!
The issue is reproduced after Move the Visual Music Design folder (C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Visual Music Design) to your desktop, then reopen the app and reimport the video.
For the video issue - if you deleted some files in the app directory and are now experiencing irregular app behavior, then I would go ahead and move the entire app cache to your desktop (will have the same effect as deleting, and you will still be able to reimport / add back in old files if needed).
Move the Visual Music Design folder (C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Visual Music Design) to your desktop, then reopen the app and reimport the video.
Thanks, the issue is not reproduced with count <=2 What about the issue with imported video? The video is not shown after importing ?
With version 1.31 the video always shown after importing. But after I I delete some of the files in C:\Users\andrn\AppData\LocalLow\Visual Music Design and my Windows was update - after that in version 1.31 any video is no longer showing. I update the application to the latest and it doesn't solve the issue.
Hello,
Thank you very much for showing the Particle Settings window!
The reason is that the particle count is set to an extremely high value. The particle count now works between values of 0 to 2, and it is currently set to 19.5 in your app. The Particle Count now operates on an exponential scale, so setting it to 2 sets it to what was 64 in the old app. 19.5 will set it to an absurdly high number.
Setting the Particle Count to 2 should fix your issue, let me know if it doesn't.
I will add an override that reduces the value to 2 in future versions, in case anyone else has this issue.
