Platform: Windows 10, Non-Apple PC, 32 GB RAM I Use After Effects as my main video software, and when I try to import an AVI file (transparent) that is longer than 2-3 minutes, After Effects doesn't load it regardless of time waited.
The problem persists in non-transparent AVI files as well. The average duration of MIDIs I record is 6-10 minutes long.
The files that are of shorter length import to After Effects as "MAGY", and work fine:
The files that are longer in length (3+ mins) import as "GEPM", and don't work:
I'm not sure if this pertains to the problem, but I also can't choose the Render Framework "Basic"; when I do and try to render, the program crashes.
Things I've Tried:
- Changing Export Quality and FPS
- Changing Particle Settings
- Applying Glow Master Fix (Tick Master Leave Bloom Off)
- Changing Note Texture
I've emailed my Media Settings and Particle Settings, any help would be much appreciated
1. Can you please send a screenshot of your render settings?
2. That sounds very strange - my first suggestion would be to make sure you are leaving the app an additional 1-3 minutes after rendering before closing the app or trying to open the file. Sometimes huge renders like MagicYUV transparent renders take longer to finish copying the data to the file after the render technically completes.
